Persistence Is Key

One of the things I’ve always been proud of myself for is that no matter how hard a situation gets, I’ve kept my composure and carried on. I have some good music to push me through, and that’s legitimately any music that I see is officially released at this point. I saw a podcast interview with someone who works harder and actually gets more income from brand deals than the music he puts out! And, yet, Jayo is still one of the most genuinely happy and optimistic sounding guys in the fully independent scene! When someone can actually follow their heart like that, without thinking about what could happen or how to accomplish it, anything can happen! And that’s the mindset going into what I need to do to be more consistent with making the website posts, writing the songs, rehearsing them more often, and making time to record them in a professional setting. The best way to get focused is to stop worrying and start calming and centering yourself, and then believing that things will get better if you just try. And, for the rest of my life, I’m going to try!
